Dear Neighbors,
I had insane communications with FOUR different utility companies this
week.
The upshot, even though the sums are small - I am helping my clients
file complaints.
And, because I am really angry, and know that resolution will not pay for
my time, I hope that disbursing PUC contact will allow others with
complaints to be heard. Maybe if enough of us make the same kind of
complaints, the Utility companies can be forced to implement fair and
logical practices.
Complaints can be made by E-Mail.
Please save the URL. You will probably need it.
And if you have a current complaint, I beg you to submit it to the PUC.

As an Agent, I am tired of being blackmailed (via risk of commission)
into being a "Collection Agent" for a Utility, especially in situations
where the billing is insane, illogical or unfair.
Some recent examples:
The WATER company charged a $4.32 penalty because timely payment was
$.25 short.
Both PGW and PECO refused to disconnect common area Utilities for
Settlement, because
the new Buyer had not completed an Application, even though
the Seller requested termination AND supplied copies of the Settlement
Sheets.
(PECO has already refused to remove "post-settlement" billing from an
account.)
VERIZON refuses to remove billing for service that was NEVER delivered.
(Note: THERE IS NO BOX OR WIRE TO THE HOUSE-
I know, I've looked, but Verizon's records say there is one and that
they connected to it.
A Verizon repairman came out and confirmed there is no box.
"Billing" can't accept the certification of their own "Repair" person.
Good Luck!
