How about my 91 year old mother, post pace-maker surgery, who was run down
by a cyclist using the sidewalk. She was lucky not to be killed, or worse
for a senior, ending up with a broken hip and bedridden. And the biker
barely registered that he could have killed her. Fortunately she was only
badly bruised, but that does not excuse the dangerous, illegal behavior.

I have been hit by bikers, who seem to work under the impression that it was
my fault that I didn't get out of the way as they rode me down.

Key term: sideWALK - not sideRIDE. Sidewalk bikers do damage, cause
injuries and deaths and break the law.
