This map shows the locations of various crimes throughout UCity from May 24, 2004 through September 26, 2004. Some days the data is unavailable; when it is, I will add it to the map. You can view a csv file of the data used to create the map here: http://ellingsworth.org/crime/summercrimes.csv The incidents are highlighted based on date: Black pushpin = September 2004 Green pushpin = August 2004 Blue pushpin = July 2004 Tan pushpin = June 2004 Red pushpin = May 2004 Some of the pushpins overlap, making it difficult to determine how many crimes took place at that time; use the data file to get a precise answer. You can mouseover or click a pushpin to see the type of crime; the info will display in your url address bar and your status bar. The information used to create the maps comes from the University of Pennsylvania's Almanac Crime Statistics Index, which is based on reporting by the UPPD & the Philadelphia Police 18th District: http://www.upenn.edu/almanac/crimes-index.html I make no claims for the validity of their information or any information portrayed in the map.
