Some of you may recall the recent incident regarding the shooting of an individual at 45th & pine. This individual was shot, in the face, after surrendering his belongings to the perpetrators. He survived the shooting.
It has come to my attention that there was an incident several days ago, wherein a couple was sitting on there porch on 49th street and a young man came onto the porch, displayed again and tried to gain entry to the house. The couple, entering first, slammed the door on him, at which point he fired the gun into the house. No one was injured.
And last night, a man was approached by three guys at (45th & Locust) who took his backback, cell phone and car. They made him lay face down in the street and beg them not to kill him.
We have not heard anything from the University regarding these incidents (the first incident involved a University employee).
We have not heard anything from the police.
Neighbors, be careful! Look out for each other, and don't hesitate to call 911 if you see something suspicious going on on your block.
