You haven't uncovered the half of this smokin', syncopated scandal, Andrew! When not making sweet sounds, Glenn Bryan kills time by being the secret community relations mahoff at Penn. That's right ... Penn. Why have we not been previously informed of this shameful fact? Obviously his music is suspect, because Penn is bad. Yet at the same time, Glenn was born, bred and educated in West Philadelphia. And West Philadelphia is good, for the same reasons that Penn is bad. So how can this be? How can true art emerge from this monstrous marriage of good and evil that has culminated in Glenn Bryan's artistic life? I don't know. But I intend to find out tonight, by cruising through Malcolm X Park and enjoying a wonderful spring night in the neighborhood.
