Boy do I know all about this,

At will sucks. I am not sure why S is bringing this up now, but it's a
slightly sore topic for me. I was "fired" for NO reason from a previous spa.
In fact, I was given a raise one short month before the "letting go", and
never had one verbal or written warning in the 2.5 years I worked there. I
presume fear led them to my dismissal, but I try not to assume anything.

I am much happier where I am now, and find that everything happens for a
reason (and the reason is usually growth).

 *At Will*

In Pennsylvania, employees are presumed to be *at will*. At-will
employees may be terminated for any reason, so long as its not illegal.

Generally, employees who work under an employment contract can only be
terminated
for reasons specified in the contract.

In Pennsylvania, to overcome the presumption of at-will employment, an
employee must demonstrate facts and circumstances

establishing some tenure of employment. Overcoming the presumption of
at-will employment is very difficult in Pennsylvania and has

been characterized as an up-hill battle.
