My cron entry for nightly updates to the latest (unstable) looks like
this:
0 2 * * * rpm --force -U -v http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/
nightly/SlimServer_v`date +\%Y-\%m-\%d`/slimserver-`date +\%Y_\%m_\%
d`-1.noarch.rpm
Works like a charm.

rpm -U what ever..
Each time slimserver updates, I have a lovely long command to type in
to the box, which is different each time as we have the version number
in the file and directory name.
How about one directory slimserver.com/latest
which always has the latest release in it,
and the names are always the same
that way I have only one place to go to and one place to get from, I
can even make an alias / script or what ever to get the update and
install.
Keep the full repositories, great to have versions, but lets have one
place to install the latest from always please, and keep the name the
same.
e.g.
slimserver.zip
slimserver.dmg
slimserver.exe
slimserver.tar
slimserver.noarch.rpm
And the bit torrent versions et all please.
