I succesfully installed SS on my Slug following the instructions at: http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/Applications/SlimServer It was pretty easy. There were some missing items in these instructions but they have been corrected.
Performance is fine over my wireless network for streaming and playing music. It does take over an hour to build the database, however, and that's on a TurboSlug.
