MIP doesn't assign genres itself but picks up info from the tags inside the files when it validates them. I had a couple of genres showing in MIP which I swore did not even exist and did not show up against the particular tracks when looked at with various tagging softwares, but it turned out I had both ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags assigned to these with different data for genres. I used Audio Tag Tool - which is in the repos - which clearly shows both types of tag for any file. This identified the problem and let me fix it. There is a bulk tag setting function which is useful for changing or deleting tags on several files at once which helped here. You might want to take a look at some of your BB King songs with this. davep -- davep ------------------------------------------------------------------------ davep's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=61 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44005 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
