Hi I have a ubuntu machine i use as a music server. I have a curious
problem now and again where after booting up the server (I dont leave
it on all the time) about five minutes after playing music with the sb
the screen goes blank (music continues) but will stop because it looks
like the server has rebooted itself. I looked in the system logs and
there is a line which refers to a cron job and the next line shows
ununtu restarting. Probably this happens once a week always soon after
starting up.

Any ideas how to prevent this?

I have an idea it is something to do with updates from software sources
perhaps, I may be wrong you may know what is going on.

What I would like to know is what do you have enabled in the software
sources preferences. I currently have all items there enabled and
checking for updates enabled only once a week.

Thanks, Mark
