Hi there, I'm running the stable main 7.2.1 version of Squeezecenter on Ubuntu Intrepid Ibis. I keep getting this error - "there is already another copy of squeezecenter running on this machine". I noticed it because whenever I tried to scan my music folder the browser interface froze, and then reported that it had lost the connection with the ip address. I have reinstalled Squeezecenter twice, killed apparmor completely, it's not running anymore, and also reinstalled mysql completely. I have just installed Ubuntu yesterday and haven't installed anything else apart from klibido.
I have checked these threads - http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=718642&page=2 - this one isn't relevant to the problem but gives some advice on stopping Squeezecenter and mysql and pulling up the logs etc. (I am a complete Ubuntu noob). I have followed the advice in this one - http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?p=332258 I read another thread that recommended rolling back to 7.1 but I can't work out how to do this, even from the Synaptic Package Manager as the option to choose version is always grayed out. I'd really appreciate any help with this as it works fine under Windows and whilst I'd like to migrate to Ubuntu I can't really consider it without this working.
