I rebooted and before I could restart a warning message popped up to say that klibido had crashed and couldn't be closed. I had already uninstalled klibido as I couldn't get it to start and thought that there was a problem with it. During my investigation into why klibido wasn't running a message came up to say that it had stoped and klog was mentioned in it. This process is still running and I wonder if this is anything to do with the problem.
