Hello again, thought one might be interested in a little bit more digging I did - /var/log/squeezecenter shows a server.log file - which states, amongst duplicates galore of lines below:
[08-11-04 23:04:39.2006] Slim::Utils::MySQLHelper::createSystemTables (433) FATAL: Couldn't connect to database: [Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/squeezecenter/cache/squeezecenter-mysql.sock' (2)] 2008-11-04 23:04:39 SqueezeCenter died. Similar track to http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=47875 and http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=54547 So basically, there seems to be a bit of an issue, as to 7.2.1 build as packaged in the repository for debian. I'll hunt down where I can regarding to bug reports - anybody else had any luck with this? To my knowlodge - I only installed 7.2, at latest (certainly no earlier slimserver, as I only know of SB for a couple of days) - but still the init scripts are complaining about Creating new database - empty database or database from 6.3.x found thank you for any help - it's great, I love SB up until now - but the fact that I can only stream down and not use local tunes is a bit of a show stopper. But hey - we'll get there - no worries ... in the meantime - thanks for taking time to read this post and maybe suggest a solution ... greetings Frank -- criticalmess ------------------------------------------------------------------------ criticalmess's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20877 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=54665 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
