Hello, I've been a long time user of slimserver on Clarckconnect (since cc 1.2!). I have upgraded my server to Community Edition 4.3 and installed slimserver 6.5.4 without a hitch (after doing a apt-get install perl-XML-Parser).
But now I'm trying to install/upgrade to SqueezeCenter and the following type of error keeps popping up in the server.log file when squeezecenter starts up which kills the squeezecenter-server process after a short while. Code: -------------------- [09-02-21 12:40:33.1016] Slim::Networking::mDNS::startAdvertising (156) Warning: Can't call method "processObj" without a package or object reference at /usr/local/bin/myperl/lib/site_perl/5.8.9/Slim/Networking/mDNS.pm line 156. [09-02-21 13:16:02.7736] Slim::Networking::mDNS::startAdvertising (156) Warning: Can't call method "processObj" without a package or object reference at /usr/local/bin/myperl/lib/site_perl/5.8.9/Slim/Networking/mDNS.pm line 156. -------------------- As you can see I have upgraded the default Perl install to 5.8.9 but I fail to see how to fix this error. Server specs: -squeezecenter-7.3.2-1.noarch.rpm (also tried the nightly version without any success) -CentOS release 4.4 (Final) -ClarkConnect Community Edition release 4.3 -Perl, v5.8.9 built for i686-linux-thread-multi -Mysql Version: '4.1.20' I have always been able to fix slimserver install errors by finding answers on the net, but this one has got me stomped. Any help appreciated, Thx -- mapper Mapper "-You can be the captain, and I will draw the charts-" - N.P. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mapper's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1890 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60448 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
