If you want "hands off, no typing required" scan initiation from the
command line, netcat is your friend.
Depending on your distro, these two scripts might work for you:
sbs-full-scan.sh
Code:
--------------------
#!/bin/sh
nc -w1 127.0.0.1 9090 <<EOF
wipecache
exit
EOF
--------------------
sbs-scan-for-new.sh
Code:
--------------------
#!/bin/sh
nc -w1 127.0.0.1 9090 <<EOF
rescan
exit
EOF
