No, it isn't scanning. I DID have some problems with the thing scanning
to frequently, for whatever reason, but even when it isn't scanning, CPU
usage stays the same. No music playing, no difference whether the units
are on or off, either. 

So, the squeezeserver is used for things like Pandora and Live Music
Archive, right? I've just been turning off the squeezeserver to keep
things running smoothly. I can still play music from my hard drive to
the SB units. I don't use Pandora much, anyway.

It is odd, though. Now I see that in the output from 
top -n 10
that even when I stop the process squeezeserver there is still something
from that same user running (see attachment), but at least whatever it
is doesn't seem to be taking much CPU power.
