I have tried sudo "apt-get remove --purge squeezecenter" as suggested by
lrossouw and at at
http://www.havetheknowhow.com/Install-the-software/Install-Squeezebox-server.html
Now if I try to reinstall, it reinstalls not from a fresh download but
from an .deb file from 'around somewhere' in the system. How do I find
where the previous installation file is sitting?

Clueless.
