Great, well I just rebooted and it worked this time and my CIFS is mounted so I think that might have been the issue. I also enabled the shutdown debug so if it does hang again we'll have a log. One quick question if I may. For the USB drive mounting (which is something I am going to be trying soon), do you know if the drive formatting will make a different, ie can I mount ntfs drives, or does it have to be ext3/4?
