Yes, I suspect that how 99% of the people planning on using the SATA
port will be using it. Either with a 2.5" internal drive or an external
eSATA drive with its own power.

It's interesting that you find using the microSD card to be so slow that
you'd attach an SSD for development. I hope it's not too slow for the
more typical use case. What's the onboard flash memory going to be used
for?
