For anyone who might not have seen it, JS has made a post to the
'Community Funded Squeezebox Replacement - Would you be interested?'

in the General Forum, which documents where we are now on the hardware
side of things.

The only points I'd like to add to it......

1. I'd hope we are going to be able to get the beta boards manufactured
in October and into users hands by November. But to play it safe, by the
end of the year, as John says.

2. The ALSA driver is coming along now. Hopefully at the weekend, or
early next week, I'll post some more info. There will be a generic I2S
driver as well as a specific driver for the JS DAC board. (Which should
please the "extreme" DIY types who just want to be able to take I2S out
from the default carrier board and implement their own ideas/vision for
an external DAC. ;))
