While playing around with CSOS on my Wandboard Quad I noticed that while playing a 192k/24-bit FLAC through HDMI out /proc/asound only showed S16_LE as the sample format. It seems HDMI audio out is limited to 16-bit, not sure if this is a driver issue. Can anyone confirm?
