My experience with 1.08 has been generally positive with just one small
issue.

I've tested on both my DACs (PCM2704 & HiFiMeDIY Sabre). I simply
changed the initial default output settings from "sysdefault:CARD=ALSA"
to "sysdefault:CARD=DAC" and I've had no playback issues at all. No pops
or clicks on either card. I must qualify that I only have 16/44
material.

As for the Wi-FI, there may be a bug in the script, or maybe I just had
a bad SD write. I ran through the setup menu with the Edimax ew-7811un
and was able to scan networks & add my password, however after it told
me my credentials were being sent the script just hung. I was unable to
SSH into the Pi on either the ethernet port or the wlan, even after a
reboot. I had to reformat the SD card to get it going again. The second
try worked fine. On another unit, I tried to disconnect from the network
I was connected to and again ended up with a non-responsive script. This
time just a reboot cleared it up. I never had this problem in previous
versions.

I tried again with the troublesome Ralink RT5370 and finally achieved
success! However the connection was not long lived and I've just decided
that these adapters I bought for $6 are total junk and are incapable of
running for longer than 5 minutes without shutting down. I recommend
that no one buy the no-name Ralink adapters off ebay. A brand name
adapter with the same chipset may work fine.

Also thanks for fixing the volume issue- I now have full volume without
having to enter "amixer set PCM 400 unmute" on each reboot. This is
another step towards making Picoreplayer an actual appliance for
distributed music that just works. Thank you for all your work on this
project!!!
