Hi all

just wanted to share my experience. Managed to get jivelite built on a
rpi, running rasbian. Got it to auto run jivelite and all is working
really well.

Have a FLIRC on order and plan to program my harmony remote to control
jivelite. my actual player is a transporter behind a cupboard, so needed
a control surface to navigate via remote and to see now playing,
jivelite does this brilliantly. I had used a joggler running
squeezeplay, worked really well too, but too far away from sofa and my
eyes are getting weak - this is a first world problem i know...lol.

I will add a TV remote to the harmony as my donor remote formapping with
FLIRC, if I use the SB3 remote mapping it will, i suspect get horribly
confused sending the same or similar commands to the transporter and
jivelite at the same time!

so my only request to you super clever folk for icing on the cake would
be to make the text on lyrics, album review and biography bigger and if
possible get artist photos to work inside biography. I guess this might
be complex as these are plugins? But right now this text is tiny and not
readable even with 20:20 vision!

But for me the beauty of siting on the sofa, with musicip doing its
thing, to be able to see what's playing and then with the remote call up
a review or lyrics is a truely wonderful thing! I know you can do this
on many smart phone and tablet devices, but the TV is always there, and
so is the remote and anyway the TV is a much more social way of sharing
this info than a small screen device. And my wife can use the remote on
SB already so the learning curve is small for her!

Final comment i found it impossible to get the screen to fit exactly. I
think this is down to the rubbish TV, an old Sharp Aquos LC46X20E which
i suspect is not pixel perfect and does not quite give you the full
1980x1080 resolution. although it is a 1080p device! So I have a tiny
amount of clipping on the right hand side and the top. I have played for
hours with /boot/config.txt but no amount of pixel movement fixes this,
so maybe a good plan would be to not run the UI so close to the edges
for these situations and this would make tinkering with config.txt less
important. I get the impression jivelite goes very near to the outer
edge of the screen?

Thanks again for you hard work.

David
