Thanks for your work on this project. I built a piCorePlayer this week and ordered a pair of Audioengine A2+ to use with them.
Installation and configuration of 1.15 was straightforward and worked first boot. I paired the player with the A2+ powered speakers from 'Audioengine' (http://audioengineusa.com/) which I hadn't realized have an onboard DAC. I configured ALSA output setting with -iec958:CARD=A2,DEV=0- and I've been very impressed with the sound quality. The resulting system has exceeded my expectations. As I'm in Canada I ordered from the following vendors: Raspberry Pi from http://www.canakit.com/ Audioengine A2+ from 'http://audiooasis.com/' (http://audiooasis.com/blog/2010/8/11/audioengine-a2-powered-speakers-new-simply-the-best.html) I'd suggest this project to anyone. It was easy to complete and the results are great.
