OK, would not boot on a RPi+ . RPi booted into the SOA installer, noticed that the LEDs next to the RJ45 socket on the RPi are off and the port on my desktop switch shows orange activity - I think that means 10 or 100 rather than 1Gb connection speed. RPi has re-booted and hopefully is downloading what it needs.
