I had been using the wonderful EDO extender with the coax output of my
SBT into my Benchmark DAC2 for a while, with great success.

However, the SBT's USB/EDO output never worked properly with the
Benchmark. The DAC would not automatically and reliably adjust to
changes in resolution of the tracks playing.

A helpful forum member (rgro) suggested plugging the USB output of my
Vortexbox Appliance directly into the Benchmark, via the Squeezelite
emulator built into the Vortexbox.

Not only does this connection work flawlessly, but as a bonus, SQ is
significantly improved over that the SBT.

I am indebted to Triode, JackOfAll, and all others who have worked or
helped in the development and support of this emulator. Many, many
thanks.

Guido F.
