Unfortunately I can't answer your questions.

Have you tried any of the these options on the [Tweaks] page under
"Audio Tweaks" for other problem USB DAC's? You could be lucky. :)
    
- OTG-Speed
- USB-FSM driver
- FIQ-Split acceleration

Any links to information/threads about quirks. I have seen the code
before but never paid attention.
