Hi all,

Loved the idea of piCorePlayer, so I picked up my first Pi recently,
threw v2.06 on a spare SD card and started to give it a go.
Unfortunately I am having issues with the HDMI audio out to my AV
receiver.

SETUP:

- Raspberry Pi 3 model B (wired LAN in use)
- Onkyo TX-NR509 AVR
- Samsung TV (though I don't think it's too relevant as the issue
happens with it on or off)
- LMS v7.90 1469851679

ISSUE:

Here's a video of the HDMI blanking I get, which appears to make the AVR
lose detection with the signal from the Pi:

Having browsed the config.txt after SSHing in, I found the
config_hdmi_boost parameter and changed it to 4 as described, which did
reduce their frequency - but I continue to get a break in audio along
with artefacting present from time to time. Sometimes 3 occurrences
within a 5 minute track, sometimes once in a 30 minute play of an
album...

SOME THINGS I'VE TRIED:
- Another HDMI cable
- Changed config_hdmi_boost to 4 and also 7
- Disabled HDMI CEC in config.txt
- Disabled HDMI CEC on the TV
- Enabled full debug logging and seen:

Code:
--------------------
    $ tail pcp_squeezelite.log
  [19:32:22.299496] sendSTAT:182 STAT: STMt
  [19:32:23.300628] sendSTAT:182 STAT: STMt
  [19:32:24.301769] sendSTAT:182 STAT: STMt
  [19:32:25.302895] sendSTAT:182 STAT: STMt
  [19:32:26.290591] process:512 strm
  [19:32:26.290650] process_strm:267 strm command t
  [19:32:26.290667] sendSTAT:182 STAT: STMt
  [19:32:27.291746] sendSTAT:182 STAT: STMt
  [19:32:28.292879] sendSTAT:182 STAT: STMt
  [19:32:29.294006] sendSTAT:182 STAT: STMt
--------------------

Please note the above may include some fiddling and Pi reboots. Since I
only see the audio stop on my AVR, I have a feeling (tell me if I'm
wrong) that the network (fully switched and wired) from my file server
running LMS to the Pi is fine, it's solely down to the HDMI link?

Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
dafty
