A 5V 3A supply will easily run a Pi 3B+ with a DAC HAT and a 7" LCD Touch Screen, no power saving measures implemented in pCP either I use a https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Good-Micro-USB-B-Female-to-2-Micro-5pin-left-anlge-male-Splitter-Y-Charge-Cable/142665688716 to split my Pi's PSU single plug to run the display and the pi. The "left" cable splitter lets me keep a clean look with a open back display case
