I have a Raspberry Pi 3b+ RetroPi gaming box with a RetroFlag NESPi+ case that I use for retro gaming, and had the bright idea to set it up as a 'Now Playing' screen on my TV for a little bit of extra visual pizazz (and easy song identification from across the room) while I'm not using RetroPi (which is most of the time).
So I've set up a fresh SD with PCP, disabled SqueezePlay, and installed Jivelite so that it just syncs with the existing SB3 in my loungeroom. Nice. (FWIW I also got the power buttons working on the NESPi+ case, as documented here: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?109404-ANNOUNCE-piCorePlayer-4-0-0&p=937872&viewfull=1#post937872) I thought I'd plug in my now deprecated OSMC USB remote (https://osmc.tv/store/product/osmc-remote-control/ although I have the version with seek buttons down the bottom instead of volume) so I could control playback and navigate menus. Now, while some remote buttons work (navigation, ok, home), a lot of them aren't mapped to the expected (or any) function in Jivelite (in particular play/pause). So I thought I'd tale a stab at getting lirc to fix this. First up I found a lirc config file for the OSMC remote (https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/new-osmc...olved/11630/11), which I then modified (as attached 27117) to map to the functions I want in Jivelite. In PCP I went to beta mode, Tweaks, and installed lirc. I loaded my modified lircd.conf for the OSMC remote onto a USB drive, and hit the 'custom' button, and it said it successfully copied it over. In the lirc settings section, I set 'Set IR Device to GPIO or USB' to the recommended 'hidraw1' and rebooted, but the remote buttons remain unchanged (they still work as before I tried lirc). Thinking maybe it was just the wrong number, I tried hidraw0 through hidraw9 witha reboot each time I changed it, but none worked with the new mappings. Is there something I've missed?
