What threw me initially was that I'd wired it up as per the pinout diagram 'here' (https://pinout.xyz/pinout/pirate_audio_line_out), yet still I needed to change the CS pin in the modprobe command. I believe that must be because the pinout diagram is showing the wrong CS pin. The fact that we need 'cs=1' to get the Pirate Audio boards working tells us, I believe, that it's using BCM7, not BCM8.
