Thanks for the detailed explanation. I'm curious why you use 6.0 *RC1* instead of the 6.0 release?
My tests so far were using the standard kernel final 6.0 release, an rpi 7" screen and a justboom ir remote. I use the remote's power button frequently to turn the setup off/on without issue, same as you with your custom remote. I'll switch over to an SB3 remote, with and without a touchscreen to see if I can reproduce what you are seeing. The removal of lirc driver support in the kernel has been a step back IMHO and is why I still run pcp 4.1 on my daily use controller in the office. The best way forward would be to add lirc client support to jivelite and use the kernel ir-keytables lirc emulation driver and lircd instead, but ATM I don't have the interest to implement it...so we muddle on.
