To see the VU meters on pCP you have to be using JiveLite and it has to be on a player that is playing.
You cannot see the VU meters for a remote player (unless you sync that player to the one running JiveLite ... in which case it is playing even if you cannot hear anything). Then, you tap the middle screen to cycle through the displays that you have enabled via (from memory) Settings/Screen/Now Playing/Now Playing Views.
