With a drive that large you have plenty of options. A setup like 4.0 for 
X, 2.0 for 9, and the remainder for your MP3 and picture archives would 
be typical. There are no "hard and fast" rules. You can create 4 
partitions if you like with one dedicated to MP3's and one to pictures 
if you like?

BTW  don't be surprised when you partition to find that the partitions 
do not add up to 36.7. A small amount of space is used by the disc 
software. You'll probably wind up up with 34+ usable, depending on the 
number of partitions you create.
