Hi all, I am brand new to this list and I am already sending emails describing some issues.. I have a Umax S900 with 412 Meg (interleaved) ram, 3 scsi drives, OS 9.1, NewerTech G3 card running at 333Mhz, and a Panasonic bootable SCSI CD unit that comes with the Apple ROM (which I bought at OWC).
Using the latest XPostFacto, I am able to almost (about 95% of the time) install and boot into OS X 10.1--and it works great! However, after re-initializing my drive, install XPostFacto, and point to the OS X 10.2 Server to install CD, upon rebooting (after XPostFacto does its thing and installs the necessary files in the target hard drive), I get the usual boot sequence text but it stalls in the end with the message "Still waiting for root device." Anyone know what could be happening here? --Bondster! -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX@;mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX-off@;mail.maclaunch.com> For digest mode, email: <mailto:UnsupportedOSX-digest@;mail.maclaunch.com> Subscription questions: <mailto:listmom@;lemlists.com> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> --------------------------------------------------------------- >The Think Different Store http://www.ThinkDifferentStore.com ---------------------------------------------------------------
