Hey thanks Eric!
I'll give it a shot later this evening. I am curious as to why this 
problem rarely works when installing OS X v10.1, but gives me the 
"Still waiting for Root Device" almost every time I try to install OS 
X. v10.2.

I'll chime in again after trying the Throttle option.

P.S. Exactly what does the throttle option do for me?
