FYI.....One problem with sound is OSX on an old world machine is that 
the sound chips aren't fully supported. although on an 8500 you should 
*have* sound. Just so you know, you are not able to control the system 
volume while runnin OSX. Application volume controls (i.e. quicktime 
movie or iTunes) work fine though. Sometimes playing around with the 
volume setting in OS9 will affect OSX.
