I know that it can be hard to find SCSI HD's, but if you are willing to not
get one right away, there have been some good deals on eBay, where many
members of these Lowendmac lists sell their extras. I have not had any
problems there. As a matter of fact, I purchased my 9GB from a fellow
lister for $50 US. I'm not sure what that translates to in Cdn$, though. I
know a tech here were I live, very far south from you, who sells them for a
decent price as well. So, I'm sure with a little hunting, you should be
able to find a larger drive.

Okay, you're right if I buy a used one, I'll probably find it cheaper.
But the cheapest *new* SCSI drive I can find (and it's a small one,
too) is CDN$200.

The place I go around here for used equipment is CPUsed. And they have
squat that's SCSI right now, and when they do, it ain't that much
cheaper. Still over $100. Never seen a SCSI drive on a store shelf for
less.
