I have upgraded that 7300/200 for about $250 altogether, and while there may
be better machines out there to upgrade (8600's that have AV), I have been
quite happy with the results because the machine does all that I want it to.
What else is there to want?

I know that feeling, so I have judiciously chosen what I've put on this Mac.
With the cost of the original purchase or the computer, I have spent no more
than $350US, adding a USB card, the aforementioned HD's, a 17" monitor,
added memory, the G3 MACHSpeed 300 card, and a vid card (Twin Turbo 128).
Most of this stuff purchased on....

you guessed it, eBay. Maybe I've just had good luck. But, as I said
before, a number of the items I've bought have been from guys who belong to
the list.
