Greetings,

So I finally finished putting together my tricked-out S900 this weekend,
and I've got Jaguar installed. Almost everything looks to be working
great, except for OpenGL performance. 2d graphics on the Radeon 7000 are
great, QuickTime is smooth as silk... but anything with OpenGL (the Flurry
screensaver or iTunes) is slow as molasses.

After I installed Jaguar, I pulled down all of the automatic updates,
including 10.2.3. After all of that was finished installing, I also
downloaded the ATI October 2002 updater, and ran that. Perhaps that was a
mistake? I'm thinking perhaps that the 10.2.3 drivers for the ATI card
were better, and the ATI 10/02 updater overwrote the good ones with not as
good ones. But I dunno.

Any thoughts?

Peter
