� Is there anyone going with Sonnet Crescendo G4800MHz uppgrade card and OSX (10.2.x) without any serious problems?
Please write if your G4800 goes just fine with OSX.
Define "goes fine".
I've got an 8600 running a Crescendo G4 800Mhz and I'm in Jaguar right now. I've got speed and peripheral problems plus I had install problems, but I think those are related to things other than the Crescendo. I did buy the Sonnet PCI X Installer software because I thought it might provide more compatibility.
There are a couple of 9600's which appear to be running Crescendo and which got decent Xbench scores listed on the Xbench website. http://ladd.dyndns.org/xbench/compareindex.xhtml (look under "unknown type")
