Yes, it freezes occasionally. But I think it's due to the generic
Firewire/USB2 combo card I have installed. It's one of the ones you
always see on eBay proclaiming "8 ports!!!!". I plan to test the
machine without it sometime. There is no real pattern to the lockups,
although, the "Flurry" screen saver will lock it up every time it's
ran, so I just stay away from that. (I think that same one locked up an
iMac where I work at all the time as well).

Anyway, the details of my setup: 9600, Sonnet G4 800mhz CPU card, 768MB
non-EDO RAM (6 128MB sticks, all identical, interleaved), ATI Radeon
7000 video card, ACARD ATA/66 IDE card, generic Firewire/USB2 card,
40GB Quantum Fireball hard drive, stock Apple CD-ROM, floppy, and
Iomega ZIP drive, Iomega external USB2 48x24x48 CD-RW, Logitech
QuickCam Express, Microsoft optical USB Intellimouse, Apple ADB
keyboard, Saitek P-150 game pad, KDS XF-9b 19" monitor. (Hey, you
wanted details! ;-) )

OS 9 is a total nightmare on it, I must add, ever since adding the ATI
Radeon 7000 card. It locks up anytime you drag an icon or window
around. I pulled the OpenGL drivers/extensions from the 9.2.2 update
using TomeViewer, and installed the ATI drivers, but it didn't seem to
do any good. I also tried upgrading to 9.2.1 using OS9 helper, but the
system locks up/freezes where it says "Checking", right after clicking
the "Start Install" button. I really don't have a use for Classic or
OS9, so it's no big deal to me (although it does still bug me. ;-) )

Yes, Q3A runs very sweetly on mine as well. :-)
