Hi Jake, Yes contact Apple now as I sounds like you have a faulty drive.
I'm basing this on the fact that I have the exact same factory fitted drive in my MDD Dual 1Ghz and have yet to get a failed cd burn whilst using the unit. No fiddling, no messing it just works! (Toast as well) Now if only Apple would fix the darn time reset bug in 10.2.4 I'd be a very happy chap. Regards Simon P.S. Are quicksilvers unsupported now?
