The LR 4/600 PS has an appletalk port only. This means it won't work with your computer directly. However, there are a couple of things you can do to make it work. If you can find an Asante AsantePrint (or EtherPrint or something like that), it will have an appletalk port to connect to your printer, and a 10baseT network work to connect to your hub. This will allow you to printer over ethernet. You can find these on EBay.
The other thing that may work (but I have not tried it), is to use an older mac and apple's AppletalkBridge software (which you can download off of apple's older download site). If you have an older computer with both a serial printer port AND a ethernet port, then this software make the computer will act as a dedicated bridge. This means that you can plug your printer into the appletalk port on the computer and then plug the ethernet port into your hub. You can then printer over ethernet. A 68K machine will work fine (an old LC would work well if you have an ethernet card in it). Again, I haven't tried this (because I have an AsantePrint). Ed --- "Dr. M.
