I find it interesting that my friend, a long-time Mac user, said the best way to get OS X to run on unsupported hardware was to do just that, run it (OS X) under MOL on top of Debian. I also read that eventually Macs without USB, like my machine, are going to fight an uphill battle with future versions of OS X. This is diametrically opposed to two separate opinions I have received on this subject so I am intruiged to find out more. The frustrating thing I have with upgrading my processor is that the upgrades themselves, even second-hand ones on eBay or elsewhere, and simple just too expensive and can cost as much if not more than a newer used Mac with the same horsepower. My dream would be to have a system capable of running 8.6, 9.22, OS X, and Debian (or other variant). Has anybody set up a machine to do this? I have two hard drives, but being new to this arena I don't know how I would repartition a drive with data already on it.
