If you can afford it, you'll get more than just higher performance with the
real G4/500. You'll get future-proofing: the next system after Panther
may not be XPostFactoable. Plus you'll get a working volume control. Oh,
and you'd probably be able to get a couple of hundred parting out your
current machine if you don't want to keep it as a backup, so the actual
cost difference is less than $225.

If I could afford $450 for a "new" computer, I don't think I'd be messing
about with upgraded Powersurge machines.
