Price, maybe? The best prices I can find for a used AGP G4 are $500 on up. PCI G4s and Blue and White G3s are almost as high... you can pay almost as much for a B&W G3 as a similar-MHz AGP G4 (which is nuts) and even a minimal G3 is going to set you back $300. I can't believe these machines are selling. You can get a refurbished and nicely loaded G4/800 eMac[1] from the Apple store for the same price!. But for the "unsupported" Beige boxes... they've been going for $50 on swap lists, or in the low $100s on the web, and they can use cheap PC RAM and hard disks. No, there's still plenty of room to upgrade to "new" XPostFacto-able boxes from your Powersurge... 1/ OK, it doesn't have any PCI slots. But it's got everything you're likely to be using them in your upgraded 7x00/8x00/9x00 built in. And of course like the Beige box it uses cheap PC RAM and hard disks. -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
