What does it really take to play DVD (full-screen or large window) on your monitor?
I own a c600/Apus 3000 (sytem bus 40 MHz) with G3 300 MHz, SCSI-DVD-drive, Radeon 7000 (64 MB), 144 MB RAM and OS 10.2.8, which is probably as lowend as you can get with Jaguar. VL runs VCDs very well, but not DVDs. For that I need the Apple DVDplayer, which plays DVDs okay, with some glitches with faster movements.
I guess with better hardware (more RAM in particular), you should have little problems in playing DVDs.
