Hello Felix, In several Beige G3's (DT & MT) I use a simple combo-card, USB 1.1 2x and Firewire 3x (2 ext. + 1 int.). The card is absoltutely brandless! It comes with 1 single paper containing the instr. for Win.!! I discovered this cards 1 yr. ago on the 3-monthly Apple-fair we have in The Netherlands (Eur). Tomorrow (sat. 21) is the next. The salesman was sure it works for Mac without anything else needed as the Apple's own support. Well, because I know the guy for years and will meet at least every 3 months, the organ. foundation (Apple-users in NL and BE) "Klokhuis" (= Applecore) will not allow bs-sellers and the price was and still is only Euro 15.- (US$ 19.50) I bought one to try in a Beige G3 DT/266, 384MB, OS 9.2.2 and 10.2.8 Worked and still works flawlessly. Bought after that around 10 more and all without any problems. Of course the salesman will not tell me where he gets 'm and I did no futher research (why would I at this price?). On the box is a clear picture of the card. The list of features on the box says: Two USB port plus two IEEE 1394 plus 1x internal 1394 port Fully compatible with PCI bus specification 2.1 USB ports: fully compatible with USB 1.1 specification IEEE 1394 ports: fully compatible with IEEE 1394 specification, meets date of 100/200/400 Mbps.
