Why thank you. That looks very intersting. I did find one positive report on the database with a Toshiba, 4X DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW, SD-R5112, OEM. This fellow says he got this to work with iDVD on a beige G3 with a G3 900 upgrade but how he did this is a mystery to me since iDVD is supposed to require a G4, or maybe just the newer versions? Well I'm going to look into that too. I guess there isn't a way to ask questions of hose people that submitted reports is there? Their email address is not given in the report. It might be a useful feature.

Thanks Bruce. What a deal. I can't believe how these burners have dropped in price! I was looking at the Pioneer burners and there are no positive reports on it on a beige at xlr8yourmac.com--what a great website that is. Will see if there's any reports with this Toshiba drive on beige G3's. I was hoping to use it with iDVD so it appears that iDVD won't recognize this Toshiba drive, but if there are third party DVD burning applications that work with it, that might suffice.

I found this: <http://thegoods.ath.cx/~hmason/sizzle/> but haven't had time to play with it.
